The sweet charme of silence
at the gates
of the Serenissima…
Delightfully surrounded by greenery and the turquoise sea, Villa Sacchetta is immersed in a fairytale microcosm, overlooking two of the approximately 30 Venice fish farms. In the quiet of the countryside with only the sounds of swans, cormorants, herons, gulls and the reappeared pink flamingos, who peep through the reeds and rushes, rummaging among the tamarisk, and hiding between the branches of willows and poplars, waiting to capture their prey: young fish from the farms' water basine.
Upon arrival at the villa, one seems to be catapulted into one of Canaletto's paintings: the amber light of sunset that caresses the calm water, and the open view that spans Burano to St. Erasmus, towards the horizon, revealing the magic of a mystic Venice, away from its usual glamour and glitz.
Passing through the Pordelio canal by private boat or taxi-boat, you dock directly onto the private pier of the house, which is just a few minutes walk from the villa: art, history, museums, events, monuments and the designer boutiques of one of the most romantic cities in the world are at your fingertips, with guests having the option of a guide to accompany them on visits, organised by Villa Sacchetta.
